We are seeking a Plant Controller to have responsibility for all aspects of plant controllership functions, including operational metrics, cost accounting and inventory control.  The Plant Controller will support senior management and operations with analysis and financial information and act upon analysis to maintain high quality standards and improve upon operational efficiencies, policies and procedures in place.  The successful employee will provide leadership in the development of policies, systems, inventory management, internal controls and all manufacturing accounting and financial procedures.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business - MBA or CPA preferred
  • Experience as a controller in food or beverage manufacturing plant
  • Strong cost accounting experience
  • Extensive plant budgeting experiences
  • Track record of leadership and development of a skilled accounting team
  • Provide analysis and assist management with data based decision making
  • Skill in using mainframe, spreadsheet, database or other software


  • Supervises and develops a team of three or more cost analysts and factory accountants
  • Prepares operational metrics and presents findings and recommendations to senior management and operations. Drives best in class practices across manufacturing
  • Establishes and maintains the organization’s manufacturing accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives
  • Analyzes manufacturing trends, costs and budgets
  • Drives continuous cost savings initiatives across the manufacturing organization
  • Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods
  • Prepares and analyzes cost reports, including direct labor, and variable labor and fixed overhead reports
  • Develops, maintains and performs effective audits and internal control procedures, including physical inventory at year end
  • Oversees a multi-million dollar capital projects budget, including strategic planning and forecasts
  • Acts as a key financial resource for VP of Operations and his team, including integral involvement in operations strategy, capital project planning and budgeting
  • Works closely with supply chain management team on procurement and logistics
